Nice Dice - 3D dice roller app for iPhone and iPad
The app features state of the art dice simulating features like:
- 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 20-sided number dice.
- Coins and Fudge +/- dice.
- D100 dice rolls using two special 10-sided dice.
- Decently realistic physics simulation with collisions, shake detection and device gravity option.
- Configure how you want the app to work by setting actions for tapping, shaking etc.
- Configure what buttons and interface elements you want to show.
- Create presets of dice combinations to roll quickly.
- Drag to move and group dice.
- Tap to remove or lock dice when re-rolling.
- Roll dice of two different colors/materials together, getting a separate total for each.
- Shake to quickly re-roll the current dice.
- Dice collision sounds.
- Realistic bad luck.
And its pretty nice looking with:
- Detailed nicely rounded dice models with high-resolution textures.
- Per-pixel dynamic lighting with bump mapping, reflections and soft shadows.
- Clean modern interface.
- Many different dice materials to choose from (Like red, white, pink, orange, steel, obsidian, gold, or even glowing radio-active or magical dice)
- A bunch of backgrounds to choose from (Like different color felt, wood, metal, leather, slate or cloth)
** NO IN-APP PURCHASES, NO ADS ***
Since this received a lot of negative user reviews there is no longer a free version of the app to download and try with an in-app purchase to unlock the full functionality. Instead the app now costs money, but everything is included with no extras to purchase.
NOTE: This is just a dice roller simulator, a substitute for actual dice. It is not a game or specialized tool for specific complex dice rolling calculations or scenarios. Its just dice, you roll them and you get numbers. However, as you can lock and combine dice you can easily use it to play simple dice games like yatzee or such.

Pros and cons of Nice Dice - 3D dice roller app for iPhone and iPad
Nice Dice - 3D dice roller app good for
Excellent dice simulator with great options, had some performance issues, got slower in my iPhone6, but seems to work better now. Great tool for Dungeon Masters and Roleplayers.
I like the different backgrounds and dice you can choose, you should make glass dice next but great app.
Really, this app was worth the money when I forgot my dice collection. I spent the small amount of money for the full features, expecting to never use it past one night. Well, since then, I still keep the app handy for quick, easy, aesthetically pleasing tabletop fun! Appreciate all the effort spent on keeping it updated. A new patch every other week is great to see in an app Ive had for 6 months now.
Great dice for games like magic or DnD but if you want things like a coin toss or a 7 sided dice roll. Then you need to pay for that. Pretty good though
It works great, good graphics, no ads, and has a nice icon! Nice!
Some bad moments
I downloaded this app. I tried it. After using it for about 30 seconds I close my phone, lay it down on a table, go outside and stare into the sunset. As I stare, theres a question I keep asking myself. The longer I stare, the more I ponder this question. I go back inside and return to my phone. I open this app once more and realize, the answer has been infront of me this whole time.
This app is the key to everything in our lives. Past, present and future. We must learn from our mistakes, that apps like this are like pressing your hand on a hot stovetop. Not good now, or in the longrun.
11/10
Nice graphics but the dice repeatedly comes up with the same number. On one occasion we got 6 five times in a row.
This is a crappy app. It promises lots of great die but then you have to pay for all but two kinds!
Wish I could rate 0 stars really maybe for 6 sided die but who uses 20 and 1.99$ for anything else?!?!Im gonna just ask Siri to roll a 12 sided die or get another app.
Need to add a 3 sided die option. Some wizard spells in DnD use it
This app is excellent even without the purchasable extras, though to play D&D with it, youll want to buy the $0.99 expansion, to access all the dice.
The only quibble I have is that the dice "feel" too light. They have a tendency to bounce, and they sometimes tip over previously rolled dice, affecting your total.
Other than that, this is a great simulator, especially for those of us who are mysteriously unlucky with physical dice.
